Full Job Description:

Harlem Irving Plaza (also known as the “HIP”) is looking for a seasonal Marketing Intern beginning as soon as possible for Holiday Season 2026. The internship schedule will consist of approximately 15-25 hours per week during Management office hours (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday). The Marketing intern will assist with digital & traditional marketing projects; Gift with Purchase promotions; Social Media; the Holiday coupon mailer; as well as several events & programs including, but not limited to, the Giving Tree Program; Holiday Ornaments display; Santa Photos; Gift Wrap & other Holiday promotions. Other day-to-day shopping center marketing duties may apply, such as changing out signage in the mall and working with Customer Service on the HIP gift card program. The Intern may also help with various Harlem Irving Co. corporate marketing/leasing projects, as needed.   

Key Responsibilities:

Principle Responsibilities include but are not limited to: help promote the shopping center with direction from the Senior Marketing Director and Social Media Specialist; track store sales and store participation data; assist with organizing and implementing Social Media contests (with emphasis on Instagram and TikTok content creation); prepare and proof various on-mall collateral and reports for Marketing meetings; interact with mall tenants to facilitate their participation in various marketing initiatives; coordinate, help create and proofread HIP’s coupon mailer; and work with HIP’s Customer Service Manager & staff. 

Required Experience:

Must have strong communication skills and interact well with HIP Customer Service, mall tenants, Harlem Irving office employees. Must be pursuing a major in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations (or similar major) in an accredited college, university or another institution of a higher learning experience. Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office (Word & Excel), be proficient in Canva and social media including Instagram and TikTok. Experience in Adobe Acrobat preferred, but not required. 

Additional Information:

This position is a paid part-time position during the Fall/Holiday 2026 season, with possible continuation into early 2027. Pay Range: $19.00-$21.00 per hour (Corresponding with experience).
